Connect a custom domain
Point a custom domain at a project; TLS certificates are issued automatically.
You can use your own domain instead of a ShipStack subdomain to serve a project. This gives your deployment a branded URL and builds trust with your users.
The process is straightforward: you'll add the domain in ShipStack, then point your DNS records to it. TLS certificates are handled automatically, so your site is secure from day one.
Open Domains in the sidebar.
The Domains section is where you manage all custom domains for your projects.
Click Add domain.
Enter the Domain and select the Project.
ShipStack will show you the exact DNS record you need to create at your domain registrar.
Click Add domain; ShipStack shows the CNAME record to create at your DNS provider.
After DNS propagates, status changes to Active and a TLS certificate is issued automatically.
Once your DNS provider propagates the change (usually within minutes), your domain is live and encrypted.
What's next
Your domain is now live and serving your project with a valid TLS certificate.
Next, configure your project settings or set up any additional domains you need.
