Start a collaborative doc
Create a live document the whole channel can edit at once.
You'll create a shared document that everyone in your channel can edit at the same time, with changes appearing instantly for all. This is perfect for brainstorming, planning projects, or capturing decisions without waiting for email threads or version conflicts.
Once created, the doc lives in your channel and stays synchronized as people contribute — no manual syncing or merging needed.
Open Docs in the top navigation.
Docs is where all your channel's shared documents live.
Click New doc.
Add a Title and pick a Template — Project brief brings goals, scope, and timeline.
Templates give you a head start with pre-built sections like goals, scope, and timeline — you can customize them after creation.
Click Create doc — everyone edits together and changes merge live.
The doc is now live in your channel. Everyone can start editing right away, and all changes merge automatically as they type.
What's next
Invite specific team members to focus their attention on the doc, or share the link with anyone who needs to contribute.
Once your doc is set up, you can add comments, assign tasks, or link it to related projects to keep your channel organized.
