Assign a request to a field crew
Assign an accepted request to the right crew, time window, and equipment.
Once you've accepted a request, you need to assign it to a crew so work can begin. Picking the right crew — one with the right skills, coverage area, and availability — keeps jobs moving and residents informed.
Open the accepted request you want to assign.
This is where you'll find all requests waiting for crew assignment.
Pick the crew. CivicGrid suggests crews by trade, ward coverage, and current load.
CivicGrid filters crews by their trade expertise, the wards they cover, and how many jobs they're already carrying, so you can match the best fit in seconds.
Click Dispatch crew. The job lands on the crew lead's mobile app with the photo and pin.
The crew lead gets the full context — photo, location pin, and all request details — right on their phone, so they can head out prepared.
On the dashboard, the request now shows as Assigned and the reporter is notified of the visit window.
The reporter receives an automated notification with the estimated visit window, so there's no need for a follow-up call.
What's next
Once the crew arrives and completes the work, they'll update the request status from their mobile app so the reporter knows the job is done.
