Build an email automation
Send the right email all on its own when subscribers join, click, or go quiet.
You'll create an automated email series that runs when subscribers take specific actions — like joining a list, clicking a link, or staying inactive. Automations save you time and keep your audience engaged without manual follow-ups.
Open Emails in the sidebar.
Click New automation.
An automation is a sequence of emails triggered by subscriber behavior.
Choose the trigger — here, every new subscriber to the Newsletter list kicks off the series.
The trigger determines when the automation starts — you can choose from list joins, link clicks, tag changes, and more.
Pick the first email template and the wait time. You can chain on more emails after saving.
You'll set the first email and delay before it sends. After saving, you can add more emails to the series.
Click Create automation. It starts paused, so you can send yourself a test before switching it on.
Your automation is paused by default so you can test it with your own email before activating it for real subscribers.

Test your automation by sending yourself a message through the trigger you set. Once you've confirmed it works as expected, toggle it on to start reaching your subscribers.
